Cool Natural Sweetness To Beat The Summer Heat!🌞

Summer is here in full effect! Time for fun in the sun, pool parties, a good old family fun.
As most of us just adore popsicles to cool us down so do the little ones. So why not mix two awesome things together: fruit and popsicles?!
As I do most of my recipe shopping on Pinterest, here are two that I have tried personally with my little one.

Banana Dolphins in Jell-O Water
This adorable treat mixes just the right hint of candy and fruit. The presentation of it will definitely grab your child’s attention.
All you need is: Bananas, Swedish Fish, and Blue Jell-o.
First make your Jello. Follow the instructions on the box. Pour Jell-O into plastic cups of choice. Next depending on the size of cup, place 2-4 fish in each cup.
Next cut your banana in half, then cut half way down the stem. This will make the mouth of the dolphin to hold your candy fish. Place 1 Swedish fish inside the mouth.
When Jell-O is cooled and done, place your dolphin inside the cup of “water”. Next use a toothpick to etch some eyes. And the you good to go!

Kiwi Pineapple Pops
These are absolutely delicious! I found the best way to make them is to blend or puree the fruits.
You will need: 6-8 Kiwis, 1 Can of Dole Pineapple Chucks in natural juices, popsicle molds, popsicle sticks.
This one is so simple with a delicious outcome!
Simply place 5-6 Kiwis and 1 can of the pineapple chunks to blender. Blend until you have a soup consistency.
Cut out at least 2-4 slices of kiwi for each pop you are making. Place them inside your popsicle mold. Pour your puree mixture into the mold. Place a stick in each pop. Your sliced kiwi will act as your anchor to keep it straight.
Freeze to desired time and Boom! One delicious cool, and Healthy treat!
I hope you enjoy these with your family, I know I did!
Till next time! ✌💋

Compliments From Your Sweet Tooth

Good morning Kandi Lovers!

We hope everyone had a safe Memorial day! Now it’s time to gear up for summer which is just around the corner. Beach days, BBQ, poolside parties are filling up your schedule as we speak, right?
Well if you are throwing the party or attending one here are two cute, non wallet robbing, absolutely delish snacks/desserts for any occasion.

image

First this little beauty was found on Pinterest. Here is the link http://pin.it/P8P3L0V. All this dessert calls for is a container of a delicious summer fruit melody, waffles ice cream cones, chocolate melts, a balloon, wax paper and Yogurt for your dip.
Now I’m pretty sure I lost you at balloon right?
No worries. I will explain. As you can see in the picture above, your dipping bowl is made out of chocolate. Here is how to impress your friends and make them think you are related to a world famous dessert maker. 😆
Simply blow up a balloon to the size you desire, grab some candy melts (you can use any color you would like. It will give a more festive feel to the platter.), Melt candy melts according to package instructions ( be sure not to over cook the chocolate. The taste will change for the worse if it’s over cooked.)
After you have a soup consistency, simply dip the balloon to desired depth of dipping bowl. Set it on the wax paper and pop in freezer for 5-10 minutes. Any longer the chocolate may crack.
Next repeat same steps to dip your waffle cones.
When all is dry, simply fill cones with fruit and pour your dip of choice in your
“Gourmet bowl”. All done!

Second treat: Also found on Pinterest http://pin.it/xdcNGt5, this dessert requires minimal ingredients and won’t leave a mess in your kitchen.
Simply cook your waffles, grab either dipping chocolate from the baking section at your local supermarket or Candy melts from party or craft store.
Next just dip to desired depth, decorate with sprinkles of your choice, dry on wax paper, and Ta Da! All done.
Great as little snacks at a gathering or you can surprise the family on a Saturday morning!

The Almighty Dole Whip

As some of you may know that if you are ever visiting Disneyland or Disneyworld you may find yourself on a treasure hunt to find this popular treat. (Not including the famous chocolate covered Mickey ice cream) I myself have not had the pleasure of tasting this frozen treat.
But thanks to the recipe from Domestic Rebel, you don’t need to hop on a overpriced flight and pay park admission to taste one!

Here’s what you need:
2 cans of Dole Crushed Pineapple (20oz each)
1 Lemon Juice
1 Lime Juice
1 tub of Cool Whip free
2 tbsp of Sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract

Blend to a ice cream consistency and Enjoy!
